Profile of Our Managing Director Shri T.S.Kumarasamy, a Post Graduate in commerce is a proud son of the soil of Tiruchengode. He was born and brought up in Tiruchengode, had his early education in rural schools around Tiruchengode and did his Post Graduation in commerce at Govt. college, Erode. Shri T.S.Kumarasamy is the first graduate in his family and started his career as a First Generation Entrepreneur, way back in 1988. He was motivated by a newspaper advertisement from one of India’s premier nationalized banks inviting business proposals under New Entrepreneur Development Agency (NEDA) scheme from unemployed graduates. He applied for a bank loan for his Friedgram [high protein-rich food supplement] manufacturing activity, which was till then a bootstrap operation. The bank, after due consideration of the proposal, and after identifying the sharp business acumen he possessed, sanctioned a loan of Rs.7.50 lacs without any margin money and collateral or 3rd party securities. Thus began his journey and mission of becoming a catalyst — through food processing — in eradicating malnutrition among women and children in India. Today, with over 20 years of experience and huge ambitions, Christy Friedgram Industry has diversified and matured into a group with interests and operations in a variety of industries ranging from textiles to paper. His untiring and ceaseless efforts have created many milestones and helped the group win many laurels.
